29 February 1940 - Hattie McDaniel won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar (first ever win for an African American actor) for her portrayal of Mammy in Gone with the Wind.

Method: altered photograph of a scene from Gone with the Wind where Mammy is tying Scarlett O'Hara's girdle...instead, Ive removed Scarlett and tied some string around the tenti-girdle.

Today marks the 20th anniversary of the death of Bewitched actor Dick York (the first Darrin Stevens who was replaced by another Dick - Dick Sargent).
Dick passed away on 19 February 1992 from emphysema aged 63.
