On 28 February in 1953 two Cambridge University scientists (James Watson and Francis Crick) made the announcement that they had determined the double-helix structure of DNA.
Who better to star in today's tentacle photo than Mr DNA from Jurassic Park (who, ironically, was unable to pronounce the word 'dinosaur')
