- GAREMA PLACE: RIP WOODSTOCK PIZZA -
When Melbourne and Sydney could not agree on which should become the Capital of Australia, a compromise was reached - a new Territory would be created apprixmately mid way between the two cities - Canberra was named as the foundation stone was layed on 12 March 1913.
The city was designed by architect Walter Burley Griffin (after a competition was ran to design the city).
The 12th of March is celebrated as 'Canberra Day' each year when Territorians get a day off from work.
Method: tentacle and paper flag in front of a Parliament House Canberra postcard with text added
